Brewista receives MSU Denver's Community Partner Award, November 2016
Congratulations to Brewista, recipients of the 2016 Metropolitan State University of Denver Community Partner Award!
On Thursday November 10, 2016 Metropolitan State University of Denver presented Brewista with the Community Partner Award. The accolade was given on the basis of Brewista’s ongoing partnership with the Industrial Design department.
Since 2013 Brewista has had a close relationship with the school. The partnership has created several unique opportunities for the students ranging from internships and exposure to the manufacturing/design industries, to working on products that are now in the marketplace. Students that provided input on those products were included on the patents.
Criteria for the nomination included:
- Demonstrating exceptional collaboration with MSU Denver faculty, staff, and/or student group.
- Providing notable contribution to the design, development, and assessment of the community-based learning experience.
- Demonstrating a sustained commitment to partnering with MSU Denver for the benefit of community/organizational enhancement and student learning.
- Exhibiting excellence in student supervision and/or mentorship, creates unique opportunities for students, and provides leadership in training and reflection.
According to Rhonda Eaker, Ph.D., Director of the MSU Denver Applied Learning Center, no stronger nomination was ever made for any recipient of the award.
